Concept
The clients wanted a mid-century modern style with a focus on a neutral color scheme. Focusing on warmer colors like orange, red, and beige provided a warm experience, while the minimalist style gave a modern look. The overall vibe the clients were aiming for was a “high-end” style to the tea shop.

Logo Iteration
Sketch
The team had several ideas for the logo. Initial thoughts were to focus on the two female figures, the two owners, as the logo. However, many of the ideas gave off a hair salon vibe rather than a tea shop's. The next option was latte art. While many felt right, the logos gave more coffee than a tea shop. Because the store only sells tea and doesn't do latte art on its teas, we decided to scrap the idea.

Lastly, discussions on high-end brand logos came into the picture, and they fit the feeling the clients wanted for their brand. Using a serif with an animal logo that only appears on a select few products made it feel perfect for the vibe they wanted. The dog featured with the logo is a Great Pyrenees Goldendoodle, the pet of one of the owners. For a more distinctive look, having the dog hand-drawn and digitized helps. Once a logo was selected as the final version, I digitized the drawing and cleaned it up for use wherever needed.

Menu
For the menu, the design was more concrete: the clients wanted a few images, but not so many that they would distract from the tea shop's overall branding. The text and layout have to be organized and big enough to be seen on TVs, as that is where the menus are displayed. The style leaned more towards similar modern boba stores, with a slight focus on cocktail menus and the like, to give it a much higher-end feel.

Product Package
When we finalized the logo, various products, such as wrappers, bags, and cups, were designed with the branding in mind. We wanted to continue the minimalist style, so the focus of the experience is the drinks and smells when entering the storefront.

Conclusion
Overall, I had lots of fun with the project. While making final decisions was frustrating at times, they were all worth it in the end when creating the final product. The only issues were creating a consistent workflow with the clients, as they were younger and less experienced in starting a new business. In the end, it worked out and turned out great. Having visions and dreams come to life from my perspective and the clients’ is very cool to see come to fruition.
